Technical field

The orbital angular momentum (OAM) has two modes, rightward and leftward, and the OAM on a loop antenna has both of them at the same time, creating a standing wave. Therefore, two OAM modes can be extracted from a single loop antenna by changing the position of the loop antenna excitation. This invention shows how to expand the number of OAM multiplexes by a factor of two using this principle.
